Dr Karina Bradley

Dr Karina Bradley is a Clinical Psychologist who has 28 years experience in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders such as trauma, anxiety and mood disorders. She has worked in mental health (hospitals and community based services), corrections, sexual health, Centrelink, private rehabilitation companies and has been in private practice for the last 21 years.

She is a fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a provider of Clinical Psychology services with Medicare. She is a full member of a number of professional associations, including the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Society of Hypnosis. Karina has completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, Masters of Organisational Psychology and Doctor of Psychology. Her Masters and Doctoral dissertations were on the psychological well-being of mothers in paid employment. She has also completed a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.

Karina works in her clinical psychology practice with adults and adolescents who present with such problems as: stress, anxiety (such as post traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, social phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and generalised anxiety), depression, anger, poor self esteem, lack of direction, crises and past traumas, anger, addictions, grief and loss issues, past abuse, sexual problems and relationships difficulties. Karina has worked with Australian military personnel and veterans and their families. She has also provided EAP services to a number of private organisations since commencement of her private practice in 1991. She is also part of Brisbane’s Suicide Prevention Programme (Medicare Locals).

Dr Bradley provides therapy from cognitive behavioural, schema and ego state therapy frameworks. With her background she has developed an expertise in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of trauma related conditions. Karina also uses hypnosis to assist in changing behaviour, symptoms, and attitudes for issues/problems as anxiety, self esteem, habit disorders, pain management and addictions. She also provides couple/relationship and sex therapy.
